Hon, I made it to Florida!
Wild dreams and not so scared schemes of not so shy music that you would have liked.
Kiiiiiim, thanks for getting this up and running.
It is all good.

Comments: I never had the priveledge of meeting Mary Pat. However friends of mine knew her. I went to a buddhist tozo at Charlene and Selina's and really got to know her through her spirit. I did see the band play at a Fells Point Fun Fest a couple of years ago and WOW! Amazing! Also through her memorial service at the Baltimore Kaikon I felt like I knew her. I've always been a drumming enthusiast but never had the wherewithall to really committ to playing. After her service I felt so inspired that I promise to learn the drums. I hope to have much gumption as Mary Pat did. The whole world lost an amazing presence.

Only Mary Pat could epitomize both 'cool' and 'hot!' To a nerd like me who will never be either, she was also kind and understanding, a true inspiration. Lots of love, Mary Pat. Please save me a seat in the front row!

Comments: A Little Bit Of Heaven: When I received this e-mail this morning from Michelle, Mary's cousin,it touched my heart deeply. We haave known Mary and her family since she was 8 years old. She was like one of our own children. Last summer when Mary was home here in Fairfax, we had so much fun just cleaning up the yard and cooking on the grill and talking about all the fun Mary had playing with our kids. Mary heart was so full of love for others, especially her Dad, and that love will live on in everyone that knew and loved her. Thanks... Kathy Klisch (We are her Dad's next door neighbors and friends)

Comments: I grew up with Mary Pat (lived in the same neighborhood)and we hung out alot in high school, where we also played basketball together. Boy, could we get into some kind of trouble. She loved her music then as she did till the end. I was saddened to hear of her illness in May and then her death. We had lost touch through the years and after reading all the tributes, it certainly was a great loss to have done so. I didn't know that she had realized her dreams and saddened that i didn't get to witness her spirit on stage. God bless Mary Pat.

Comments: My heart is heavy on hearing the sad news of the death of Mary Pat. I too grew up around music, learning how to play the piano, organ, clarinet and saxophone. Because of my love of music and the saxophone I became acquainted with Mary Pat. She was a true friend from Intermediate School until our graduation from Fairfax High School in 1979.
"On a clear quiet night, when the stars are shining bright, in the distance we should hear the talents of Mary Pat"
*Are there any CD's available of Mary Pat?

Comments: Mary Pat was a neighbor as I grew up around the corner from her and an outstanding musician!
I remember that when I was in the 6th grade I attended a slumber party at the Hughes household with several of the other gals from Jermantown Elementary. She touched my heart then and all throughout Lanier and Fairfax High School. I lost my brother to Leukemia in 1973 so I was saddened to hear that was how Mary Pat lost her life as I remember that she had comforting words to me at the time of my brothers death. How could we know at that time that she would be taken from us by the same disease.
Although I had not seen Mary Pat in 20 years..I will always remember her for her creativity, sensitivity and talent!
My sympathy to the family!
Best personal regards,
Susan Ware Nardiello

Comments: I've just returned from my 20th high school reunion (Fairfax High School, class of 1979), where Mary Pat's name came up often, as well as another wonderful person we've lost too soon, Tim Wruk. I remember Mary Pat as ALWAYS having a smile on her face and being surrounded by her friends. I feel privileged to have known her and am comforted knowing she's up there looking down on us all, still smiling, of course!

Comments: Mary Pat was a vivid soul !
One day out of the blue-I get a phone call from her..she heard some music of mine at a friends. And called me at my home in Pennsylvania to tell
me " it rocked her groove !! "
I could hear in the sound of her voice she was one of those special souls that I was supposed to know.I sent her tapes, and a bunch of saxophonistic goodies.
Thru the years I always wanted to meet her ( and Leigh to !! ) and we exchanged Christmas card, phone calls...and once she sent me this off the wall post card ! I put in on my kitchen fridge under a magnet I have that sais 'normal people worry me" I wish she coulda saw it.She was a bright point to have as a fellow sax playing sympatico...Mary had a GREAT voice and her energy
was one of a kind.
The day she called me ,the very first time..she made my week with her positive vibes.
People like her are never forgotten- To say I miss her would be a tremendous understatement.I wish I could of met her face to face- what soul she had !!
I think of her often- wherever you are Mary you split this planet to funkin' soon girl.
She was one of a kind- Tim Price
